2021 First Alarm Girl's Fire Camp

A time-honored phrase in many fire departments is "Semper Gumby" which, loosely translated means "Always be flexible." In that spirit, especially due to the weekly changes in allowable attendance that the pandemic is effecting in every county right now, we ask you to take that phrase to heart. Please read on to get an idea of the changes we have made or may have to make in order to hold camp at all in 2021. The past 3 camps were a 2-day event; First Alarm 2021 will be a one day event spread over the weekend, with 2 different groups of campers- each group attending one day only. To be clear, this means you will sign up for Saturday OR Sunday, and that will be your only day at camp this year. If we didn't do it this way, the number of campers who would get a chance to attend at all would be cut in half.

Despite only getting one day, there is still an incredible experience shaping up for each of you! Ladders, Chainsaws, EMS, Charged Hoselines, Extinguishers, Personal Protective Equipment, and a workshop addressing the next steps to take to prepare for a career in the Fire Service. Be there or be bored. 

Each camper will also still receive a camp t-shirt and SWAG bag.
